AASHTO offers "Member" and "Non-Member" (or "List") prices. AASHTO member organizations include all U.S. state departments of transportation. AASHTO Associate Members (who also receive the Member price) include several U.S. federal, local, and regional agencies; most Canadian provincial ministries of transportation; and several international transportation organizations. No. Registering for an AASHTO Account is completely free. Employees of AASHTO member organizations will need to create an AASHTO Account to buy publications online at the Member price. Non-members who sign up for AASHTO Accounts get free shipping within the U.S. or discounted international shipping on all online orders. Members and non-members both have access to certain AASHTO electronic publication downloads, online order tracking, and other benefits through their AASHTO Account. AASHTO offers a number of methods to order our publications. If you are ordering printed (hardcopy) versions of our publications, you may order using any of the following methods: online, phone (800-231-3475); fax (734-487-1890); or mail (AASHTO Publications, P.O. Box 933538 Atlanta, GA 31193-3538). All orders for publications must include payment at the time of ordering. Orders submitted without payment will not be processed. If you are ordering by fax or mail, you will need to complete and submit your order on an AASHTO Order Form, along with payment. Digital versions of our publications (PDF Downloads and web-based publications) can only be ordered online.
AASHTO members, within the United States and its possessions, receive free standard shipping on all orders. Customers with AASHTO Accounts receive free standard shipping when ordering publications online at the AASHTO Store. All others pay shipping fees equal to 5% of their order total for orders shipped within the United States and its possessions. Overnight and second-day shipping are available at an additional charge. Members and those with AASHTO Accounts do not receive discounts on express shipping. International shipping fees equal 20% of the order total for those with AASHTO Accounts and 25% for all others.
Credit Cards: Publication orders placed online, by phone, or by mail may be paid by credit card. AASHTO accepts VISA, MasterCard, and American Express.
Checks and Money Orders: Publication orders placed by mail may be paid by check or money order, with funds in U.S. dollars and drawn on a U.S. bank. Checks or money orders must be accompanied by a completed AASHTO Order Form.
Purchase Orders: Employees of AASHTO Member organizations may pay using purchase orders when placing publication orders online at the AASHTO Store. In addition, employees of AASHTO Member organizations, as well as employees of U.S. government agencies (federal, state, city, county, or tribal) may pay using purchase orders when ordering by phone, mail, or fax. Mail or fax orders must be accompanied by a completed AASHTO Order Form.
Only AASHTO member agencies may pay for online orders using purchase orders. U.S. city, state, and county government agencies may pay with purchase orders when ordering printed (hardcopy) publications by mail or fax.
Yes. Faculty members and students at U.S. colleges and universities can purchase AASHTO publications at our discounted AASHTO member price. Orders must be placed online at the AASHTO Store by setting up an AASHTO Account using your school email address to authenticate your academic status.
In general, purchases are non-returnable. See our return policy for exceptions.
If an item is available in multiple formats, all customers may exchange a purchase in one format for the same item in a different format within 30 days of purchase. Any price difference between the two formats will be billed or refunded, as appropriate. If a print item is being exchanged under this policy, it must be returned in good condition, and the customer is responsible for any return shipping fees.
Yes. Currently, seven AASHTO publications are included on the syllabus as preparation materials for the NCEES Professional Engineers (PE) exam, and AASHTO offers several options for customers to purchase these publications. You can purchase the complete PE Exam Collection and save approximately 40%. If you do not need the entire collection, you can purchase the publications separately. Or, if you are preparing for the Professional or Structural Engineers (PE or SE) exam, you can purchase the PE Exam edition of the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications or the SE Exam edition of the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications
Yes. AASHTO maintains an online archive of historical editions of our technical standards and specifications, which are superseded by current AASHTO editions.
